The ACR URC-102 is the master controller for RCL-50 and RCL-100 searchlights with halogen lamps. It manages power and control and includes the XRCiZ maintenance function. Supplied with eight inline connectors, excluding coaxial cable.

The control box behind your searchlight operation
The ACR URC-102 master controller is the box located between your onboard power supply and the searchlight. It provides power and translates commands from the Point Pad to the motors in the light. You mount it out of sight, for example behind a panel or in a cabinet.

This controller also contains the XRCiZ function. It automatically moves the searchlight every thirty days: a full rotation in both directions and moving the reflectors from top to bottom. This keeps the motors and the drive mechanism moving smoothly, even if the light is not used for half a season. Important to note: the URC-102 is for searchlights with a halogen lamp. If you have an LED version, you need the URC-103 with part number 1949.

Why choose the URC-102 master controller?

  • Controls power and operation: the link between your onboard network, control, and searchlight
  • Includes XRCiZ: the automatic maintenance cycle every thirty days
  • Eight inline connectors included: for the connections you need
  • Mount out of sight: behind a panel or in a cabinet

Who is this product for?

Intended for vessels with an RCL-50 or RCL-100 halogen searchlight where the controller needs to be replaced, and for installers reconnecting an existing searchlight. Please note the lamp type: for LED versions, the URC-103 is the correct controller.

What are the benefits for you?

  • Your searchlight works again: without a controller, you cannot operate the light
  • XRCiZ remains functional: the maintenance feature prevents seizures after long periods of inactivity
  • Individually replaceable: cheaper than a complete new searchlight system
  • Original component: made specifically for this searchlight series

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does a Point Pad do?

A Point Pad is the control panel on your helm station. With it, you turn the searchlight on and off, rotate and tilt the beam, choose the rotation speed, and enable the XRCiZ maintenance function.

What is the difference between a Point Pad and a master controller?

The master controller is the box that manages the power and control, which you mount out of sight. The Point Pad is the control panel that you interact with. You need both.

Can I connect multiple control points?

Yes. Multiple Point Pads can be connected to the same master controller via coaxial cable. Keep the total coax length limited to approximately 90 meters.

Does this work on 12 or 24 volts?

On both. The URP-102 Point Pad works on 12 or 24 volts DC, which fits almost any onboard power supply.

Can I use the URC-102 with an LED searchlight?

No. The URC-102 has a slow-rising startup voltage for halogen lamps and then continuously regulates the voltage. For an LED light head, this causes interference. For LED, you need the URC-103.
