The white ACR RCL-95 LED is a controllable LED searchlight with 440,000 candela from ten 50-watt High Flux LEDs. The electronics are located inside the IP68 light head. Comes with Point Pad and wireless remote control.

The most powerful LED searchlight in this series, 440,000 candela
The ACR RCL-95 LED in white is the most powerful searchlight in this series: ten 50-watt High Flux LEDs providing a total of 440,000 candela. This is more than twice as much as the RCL-85, and you will notice the difference especially at a distance.

For this model, a design choice was made that is worth mentioning. The electronics are not housed in the base, as is usual, but in the light head itself, which features an IP68 water-resistant design. Water seeping in along a mounting flange is one of the most common causes of searchlight failure, and this setup eliminates that weak point.

Operation is possible in two ways, as both are included: a wired Point Pad for the helm station and a wireless remote for use on deck. The light rotates 360 degrees continuously without a hard stop and tilts 135 degrees, which is plenty for high bridges and steep quays. The auto-home function parks the light in your chosen position after it is switched off.

Why choose the RCL-95 LED in white?

  • 440,000 candela: ten 50-watt High Flux LEDs, the most powerful LED searchlight in this series
  • Electronics in the light head: the head features an IP68 water-resistant design, rather than housing the electronics in the base
  • Two controls included: a wired Point Pad and a wireless remote
  • 360 degrees continuous: rotates all the way around at high or low speed, without a hard stop
  • 135-degree tilt: plenty for high bridges and steep banks
  • Auto-home function: the light parks itself in your chosen position after being turned off
  • White housing: blends in against a white superstructure or hardtop

Who is this product for?

The RCL-95 is a cost-effective choice for small to medium-sized motor yachts and light commercial vessels. Due to its high light intensity, it is particularly interesting for those who actually use the searchlight rather than just occasionally: sport fishermen departing before sunrise, workboats, emergency services, and charter vessels that need to dock in the dark. If you have a small battery bank or mainly sail in sheltered waters, the RCL-85 is often a more suitable choice.

What are the benefits?

  • You can see very far: more than double the light intensity of the RCL-85
  • Better water protection: the electronics are located in the water-resistant light head, not the base
  • Two controls included: fixed at the helm and wireless on deck
  • Wide tilt range: 135 degrees is enough for high bridges and steep quays

Frequently asked questions

What does candela mean for a searchlight?

Candela represents the light intensity within the beam, not the total light output. For a searchlight, that is the number that counts, because the light is focused to reach long distances. Therefore, more candela means seeing further, not a wider illuminated area.

What does the XRCiZ feature do?

XRCiZ automatically rotates the searchlight every thirty days. This keeps the bearing surfaces free of corrosion and the electrical contacts functional. It prevents the unit from seizing up, especially if it stays on the roof unused for months.

Does this searchlight work on 12 or 24 volts?

Both. This series operates on 12 to 24 volts, meaning it works on virtually any onboard power system without a converter.

What is the difference between the RCL-95 and the RCL-85?

At 440,000 candela, the RCL-95 is more than twice as strong as the 180,000-candela RCL-85. It tilts 135 degrees compared to 90 degrees and comes with both a wired Point Pad and a wireless remote. The RCL-85 is more affordable and easier to install.

Why are the electronics in the light head?

In the RCL-95, the electronics are in the IP68 water-resistant light head instead of the base. This provides better protection against water ingress, which makes a difference in lifespan for a light that is permanently outdoors.

How much power does this searchlight draw?

Ten 50-watt High Flux LEDs draw significantly more than the six 30-watt LEDs in the RCL-85. For a ship with a modest battery bank, this is something to consider: calculate what your installation can handle before choosing the most powerful version.
