The ACR RCL-50 LED in white is a controllable LED searchlight, or marine searchlight, featuring over 100,000 candela from six LEDs. It operates on 12 to 24 volts, rotates 360 degrees, and includes XRCiZ self-maintenance. Supplied without a control kit.

Controllable LED searchlight with over 100,000 candela in white finish
The ACR RCL-50 LED in white is a controllable searchlight with an LED array of six LEDs that produces over 100,000 candela. This light is the successor to the halogen RCL-50D and utilizes the same proven aluminum housing, but with LEDs that draw up to fifty percent less power on a 12-volt installation.

This version is the standalone searchlight, without a control kit. This is intentional: many vessels already have an existing ACR control system after a refit, or owners may wish to choose between a fixed Point Pad at the helm and a wireless remote control. If you require a complete system, versions including controls are available.

The white housing is triple-primed, sealed, and treated with a UV stabilizer, which makes the difference between maintaining a pristine finish and fading on a light that spends years in the sun and salt. White is the standard choice for most recreational vessels because it blends in with a white superstructure.

Why choose the RCL-50 LED in white?

  • Over 100,000 candela: A bundled LED array of six LEDs that reaches deep into the darkness
  • Up to 50 percent less power: On 12-volt vessels, the LED version consumes significantly less power than halogen
  • 40,000 burn hours: The LEDs last for tens of thousands of hours
  • XRCiZ self-maintenance: The light automatically rotates every thirty days to prevent corrosion
  • 360 degrees rotation: Continuous rotation at high or low speed, without a hard end stop
  • White housing: Blends in with a white superstructure or hardtop

Who is this product for?

This version is intended for those who wish to assemble their own searchlight system. This is particularly relevant during a refit, where existing ACR controls and cabling are already present and only the light head needs replacing. The RCL-50 is suitable for sports yachts, yachts, sport fishing boats, workboats, and light commercial vessels. White is the standard choice for most recreational craft simply because most superstructures are white.

What are the benefits for you?

  • You don't pay for duplicate controls: Makes sense if an ACR control is already on board
  • Choose your own controls: Add a Point Pad or wireless remote later
  • Less battery drain: The LED version uses significantly less power than halogen
  • Low maintenance: XRCiZ keeps the mechanism moving without you having to think about it

Frequently asked questions

What does candela mean for a searchlight?

Candela is the light intensity in the beam, not the total light output. For a searchlight, this is the figure that matters because the light is focused to reach long distances. More candela therefore means seeing further, not lighting up a wider area.

What does the XRCiZ feature do?

XRCiZ makes the searchlight automatically perform a full rotation every thirty days. This keeps the bearing surfaces free of corrosion and the electrical contacts functional. Especially for a light that sits unused on the roof for months, this prevents it from seizing up.

Does this searchlight work on 12 or 24 volts?

Both. This series operates on 12 to 24 volts, meaning it works on virtually any onboard power system without a converter.

Can I operate the searchlight from multiple locations?

With the RCL-50, you can connect up to three control units to the system. This is convenient if you want to be able to steer from both the interior helm and the flybridge.

What is the difference between the RCL-50 versions?

Only the color of the housing and the included controls differ. The searchlight itself is identical across all versions: same LED array, same housing, and same performance. Choose based on the color that suits your ship and your preferred method of control.

Can I connect this searchlight to an existing ACR installation?

That depends on which control system is installed. The RCL-50 LED works with the URC and URP control series from ACR. If you are unsure about compatibility with your existing installation, compare the model numbers of your current controller and Point Pad before ordering.
