This is the ACR RCL-50 LED in white with URP-103 wired Point Pad and URC-104 master controller. Over 100,000 candela, fixed helm station control, and return-to-home function.

White searchlight set with fixed helm station control
This is the ACR RCL-50 LED in white supplied with the URP-103 wired Point Pad and the URC-104 master controller. A set for vessels where the control should be in one fixed location, namely where the skipper stands.

A wired Point Pad has advantages that a wireless remote does not. There is no battery that could be dead when you need the light, no remote that someone has taken below decks, and no susceptibility to interference. For many skippers, that is exactly why they choose this version over the set with a wireless handheld remote.

The master controller provides the return-to-home function, which automatically resets the light to face forward after it is switched off. You can also use it to control two searchlights. If you decide to add a wireless remote later, you can: up to three control units can be connected to the same system.

Why choose the RCL-50 LED set in white?

  • Over 100,000 candela: a bundled LED array of six LEDs that reaches far into the darkness
  • Up to 50 percent less power: on 12-volt vessels, the LED version consumes significantly less than halogen
  • 40,000 burning hours: the LEDs last for tens of thousands of hours
  • XRCiZ self-maintenance: the light automatically rotates once every thirty days to prevent corrosion
  • 360-degree rotation: continuous rotation at high or low speed, without a hard end stop
  • Fixed control without a battery: always available, nothing that can run out of power or get lost
  • Expandable later: up to three control units on the same system

Who is this product for?

This set is intended for vessels with one fixed helm station, where the control belongs in a fixed place. It is popular with charter vessels and workboats with changing crews, because a fixed control works the same for everyone. It is also a logical choice if you specifically do not want a wireless remote, for example, because there are already enough devices on board that need to be charged.

What are the benefits for you?

  • Always available: no dead battery when you need light
  • Same for everyone: convenient for changing crews
  • Expandable later: up to three control units on the same system
  • The light is always positioned correctly: return-to-home resets it forward after switching off

Frequently asked questions

What does candela mean for a searchlight?

Candela is the luminous intensity in the beam, not the total light output. For a searchlight, that is the number that counts, because the light is bundled to reach a great distance. More candela therefore means seeing further, not a wider illuminated area.

What does the XRCiZ function do?

XRCiZ automatically rotates the searchlight every thirty days. This keeps the bearing surfaces free of corrosion and the electrical contacts functional. Especially for a light that sits unused on the roof for months, this prevents it from seizing up.

Does this searchlight work on 12 or 24 volts?

On both. This series works on 12 to 24 volts, so it works on almost any onboard power system without a converter.

Can I control the searchlight from multiple locations?

With the RCL-50, you can connect up to three control units to the system. Useful if you want to be able to steer from both the interior helm station and the flybridge.

What is the difference between the RCL-50 versions?

Only the housing color and the included controls differ. The searchlight itself is identical in all versions: the same LED array, the same housing, and the same performance. Choose based on the color that suits your vessel and the way you want to control it.

Can I add a wireless remote later?

Yes. Up to three control units can be connected to the same system, so you can add the URH-103 wireless handheld remote later without changing the installation.
