Manual bracket for older GlobalFix models
The ACR LowPro3 is the Cat II mounting bracket for older GlobalFix EPIRB models with type numbers RLB-36, RLB-37, RLB-38, and RLB-40. In a Cat II setup, you remove the beacon from the holder yourself.

A bracket that has been on deck for years will weather, and a broken or weakened holder is exactly what you do not want during a safety equipment inspection. Replacing it is significantly cheaper than a new beacon. Pay close attention to the type number of your EPIRB: if you have a newer GlobalFix V4, V5, or V6, item numbers 2833 and 9656 are the correct brackets.

Why choose the LowPro3 Cat II bracket?

  • For older GlobalFix models: fits RLB-36, RLB-37, RLB-38, and RLB-40
  • Quick-release: you can take the beacon out in one motion
  • Original ACR part: not a universal holder that barely fits
  • Extends the lifespan of your setup: a new bracket is a fraction of the cost of a new beacon

Who is this product for?

Intended for anyone with an older ACR GlobalFix EPIRB on board whose bracket is weathered or damaged. This applies to every type of vessel where these beacons were once mounted, from sailing yachts to commercial vessels. It is also useful if you want to set up a second mounting point.

What are the benefits?

  • Ready for inspection: a broken bracket is flagged during inspection
  • Your beacon remains securely attached: no risk of it coming loose in heavy weather
  • Cheaper than replacing: the bracket costs a fraction of a new EPIRB
  • Original part: fits without modifications

Frequently asked questions

Does this bracket fit my EPIRB?

Only if your beacon has one of these type numbers: RLB-36, RLB-37, RLB-38, or RLB-40. The type number is on the beacon's label. For the newer V4, V5, and V6, use item number 2833 or 9656.

What is the difference between Cat I and Cat II?

A Cat II bracket is an open holder from which you remove the beacon yourself. A Cat I bracket is a closed housing with hydrostatic release that automatically releases the beacon if the vessel sinks.
