This is the original 55-watt ACR replacement bulb for the RCL-50B searchlight, in the 12-volt version. With a halogen searchlight, the bulb is a consumable part: it will eventually fail while the housing, motors, and controls remain in good condition.
This 55-watt at 12-volt combination is the standard version for smaller vessels with a standard onboard power system. Check the label on your existing bulb before ordering, as there is also a more powerful 70-watt, 24-volt bulb for the RCL-50B that looks similar on the outside but is not interchangeable.
Having a spare bulb on board is wiser than ordering one when you actually need it. If you are considering replacement, it is also a good time to look at the RCL-50 LED: it lasts for approximately forty thousand operating hours and requires up to fifty percent less power, eliminating the need for bulb replacements altogether.

How do I know which bulb I need?
Check your existing bulb or the searchlight manual. Both the wattage and voltage must be correct. For these series, there are several bulbs that look identical on the outside but are not interchangeable.
What happens if the voltage is wrong?
A bulb intended for a lower voltage will burn too brightly and fail quickly. Conversely, it will burn too dimly, and you will lose significant range.
Does this bulb fit the RCL-100D?
p>No. The RCL-100D uses its own bulbs, item number 6001 for 12 volts and 6003 for 24 volts.
