Original replacement bulb for your RCL-100D searchlight
This is the original 55-watt ACR replacement bulb for the RCL-100D searchlight, in the 12-volt version. The RCL-100D was ACR's best-selling searchlight for many years, so many are still in use that simply require maintenance.
Please pay attention to two things when ordering. The bulb must match the correct model, as the bulbs for the RCL-50B are not interchangeable with those for the RCL-100D. Also, the voltage must be correct: for 24-volt systems, article number 6003 is the right choice. The markings on your existing bulb will confirm this.
If your RCL-100D is reaching the end of its lifespan, the RCL-100 LED is its direct successor. Please note that an existing URC-102 controller will not work with an LED light head; the URC-103 is required for that.
Why choose the 55-watt bulb for the RCL-100D?
55 watts for 12 volts: the correct combination of power and voltage for this searchlight
Original ACR part: not an alternative bulb that almost fits
Replaceable unit: the bulb is the consumable part, while the rest of the light remains in good condition
Quickly resolved: a spare bulb on board prevents a dark night
For the RCL-100D: the halogen predecessor of the current RCL-100 LED searchlight
Who is this product for?
Intended for anyone with an ACR RCL-100D halogen searchlight on a 12-volt system. The RCL-100D was ACR's best-selling searchlight for many years, so many are still in use on all types of vessels.
What are the benefits for you?
Your searchlight works again: without replacing the entire unit
For the most popular ACR searchlight: the RCL-100D is still widely in use
Inexpensive repair: a bulb costs a fraction of a new searchlight
Reserve on board: prevents a dark night at the wrong moment

Frequently asked questions
How do I know which bulb I need?
Check your existing bulb or the searchlight manual. Both power and voltage must be correct. There are multiple bulbs for these series that look similar from the outside but are not interchangeable.
What happens with the wrong voltage?
A bulb intended for a lower voltage will burn too brightly and fail quickly. Conversely, it will burn too dimly, and you will lose significant range.
Does this bulb fit the RCL-50B?
No. The RCL-50B has its own specific bulbs: article number 6002 for 12 volts and 6010 for 24 volts.
Can I convert my RCL-100D to LED?
The RCL-100 LED is the successor. Please note that an old URC-102 controller will not work with an LED light head; the URC-103 (article number 1949) is required for that.
