This is the ACR RCL-100 LED in black with URP-103 wired Point Pad and URC-104 master controller. Over 220,000 candela from nine LEDs, fixed control at the helm, for 12 to 24 volts.

Black set with fixed control at the helm
This is the ACR RCL-100 LED in black with the URP-103 wired Point Pad and the URC-104 master controller. The choice for those who want a dark housing and prefer wired controls at the helm over wireless handheld ones.

Wired controls have a simple argument in their favor: there is nothing that can run out of power and nothing that someone can carry away. For workboats, patrol vessels, and emergency services, this is often the reason for choosing this version. The black housing also dampens the stray light reflected by a 220,000 candela lamp, which can make a difference if the light is in your line of sight.

The searchlight is otherwise identical to the white version: nine LEDs with approximately 40,000 operating hours, up to fifty percent less power than halogen, XRCiZ self-maintenance, and an internal tilt mechanism. The master controller adds the return-to-home function and can control two searchlights.

Why choose the RCL-100 LED set in black?

  • 220,000 candela: an array of nine LEDs, more than twice the light intensity of the RCL-50
  • Up to 50 percent less power: on 12-volt vessels, the LED version consumes significantly less than halogen
  • 40,000 operating hours: the LEDs last for tens of thousands of hours
  • XRCiZ self-maintenance: the light automatically rotates every thirty days to prevent corrosion
  • Internal tilt mechanism: fully enclosed, so weather cannot reach it
  • Fixed control without battery: always available, nothing that can run empty or get lost
  • Black housing: dampens stray light and matches dark superstructures

Who is this product made for?

Intended for vessels with a single fixed helm station that require a dark housing. Often chosen for workboats, patrol vessels, and emergency services, where the controls belong in a fixed location and the superstructure is dark. With a lamp of this power, dampening stray light is more important than with a weaker model, so the color choice here is more than just cosmetic.

What are the benefits for you?

  • Always available: no battery that runs empty at the moment you need light
  • Less glare on board: the dark housing dampens stray light in your field of vision
  • The same for everyone: convenient for changing crews
  • You can see significantly further: more than twice the light intensity of the RCL-50 LED

Return to home The control automatically resets the light to straight ahead after switching off
Control two lights With one controller, you can operate two searchlights independently or simultaneously
Wi-Fi module discontinued The Wi-Fi module for control via the app has been taken out of production

Frequently asked questions

What does candela mean for a searchlight?

Candela is the light intensity in the beam, not the total light output. For a searchlight, this is the figure that counts, because the light is focused to reach a long distance. More candela means seeing further, not a wider illuminated area.

What does the XRCiZ function do?

XRCiZ makes the searchlight automatically rotate once every thirty days. This keeps the bearing surfaces free of corrosion and the electrical contacts functional, especially for a light that sits on the roof unused for months.

Does this searchlight work on 12 or 24 volts?

On both. The RCL-100 LED works on 12 to 24 volts, so it works on almost any ship's electrical system without a converter.

Is a wired control more reliable than a wireless one?

A wired Point Pad has no battery and no wireless connection that can drop out. A wireless control, on the other hand, provides freedom of movement on deck. Many vessels combine both.

What is the difference between the RCL-50 and the RCL-100?

The RCL-100 LED delivers over 220,000 candela from nine LEDs; the RCL-50 LED delivers over 100,000 candela from six LEDs. Both work on 12 to 24 volts and have XRCiZ. The RCL-100 is the choice if you need to be able to see further.
