Simrad RF25 SimNet Rudder Feedback Unit

Robust rudder position sensor for precise feedback to your autopilot system.
The RF25 is a SimNet rudder feedback unit designed for use in Simrad autopilot installations. The unit continuously measures the rudder position and sends this information via SimNet and NMEA 2000 to the NAC autopilot computer. Based on this feedback, the autopilot knows exactly where the rudder is and can effectively maintain course, without oversteering or overcorrection.

The RF25 is mechanically designed for mounting on a wide range of rudder systems and provides linear, reliable readings for long-term use in saline and harsh environments.

Why choose the RF25?

  • Essential for your autopilot: accurate rudder position gives your autopilot the information to steer smoothly and efficiently.
  • SimNet and NMEA 2000 output: direct connection to your Simrad bus without an additional interface.
  • Robust design: built for years of operation in marine environments.
  • Versatile mounting: suitable for various rudder types, with included pushrod and mounting hardware.
  • Official Simrad part: fully compatible with the Simrad NAC autopilot range.

Who is this product for?

The RF25 is intended for boaters and professional skippers who are installing or upgrading a Simrad NAC autopilot system and need a reliable rudder feedback unit. The unit is suitable for sailboats and motorboats with a conventional rudder and existing steering column. Also ideal as a replacement for an older rudder feedback unit in refit projects.

What does it offer you?

  • Tighter autopilot performance: more stable course keeping, less zigzagging.
  • Energy savings: more efficient steering through precise feedback means less rudder movement.
  • Easy connection: one SimNet cable to your network is sufficient.
  • Long-term reliability: designed for a long operational lifespan in saline air.
  • Quick replacement: direct upgrade from previous rudder feedback units without reinstallation of cabling.
