Naviop OP-BOX for LOOP M and M+

The OP-BOX is the processing core of a Naviop system. It collects data from EGON boards and DAU units, translates between onboard protocols, and provides the control pages you see on your chartplotter. This version is specifically designed for a LOOP M or LOOP M+ installation.

The unit is PLC-programmable. This means the controls are not fixed by factory settings, but are configured for your specific vessel: which switch operates which group, which values are displayed on which page, and which automatic actions should be performed.

What is this part of?

Naviop is the digital switching system from B&G and Simrad. Instead of a panel full of switches and fuses, you can control your lighting, pumps, air conditioning, and other electrical consumers from your chartplotter. B&G describes it as a system that connects all onboard facilities with a single touch, and it works with B&G, Simrad, and Lowrance displays.

At its core, a system consists of three types of components: an OP-BOX that performs the processing and translates protocols, one or more EGON boards that contain the fuses and relays and are located near the consumers, and DAU units that collect sensor data. They communicate via a CAN bus, meaning only one thin cable needs to run to the helm station instead of a bundle for every switch.
