What is included in the kit?

The Naviop control unit, an EGON distribution board with the plugs and contacts, NMEA 2000 cables with T-connectors to connect it to your network, and a set of terminators. This provides the complete framework for a digital switching system.

Which displays does it work on?

On B&G, Simrad, and Lowrance displays. Your chartplotter becomes your switch panel: the controls appear as a sidebar or a dedicated page next to your chart. You don't need to install a separate control panel.

How many items can I switch with it?

The LOOP S is the compact version and is intended for smaller and lighter boats. For lighting, pumps, a refrigerator, and some comfort groups, it is generally more than sufficient. If you need more channels or want to keep room for future expansion, take a look at the LOOP M. If you are unsure, send us a list of what you want to control, and we will tell you which version is suitable.

What are the benefits compared to a standard switch panel?

Three things. First, less wiring: the EGON board is located near the consumers, and only a thin CAN cable runs to the helm instead of a thick wire for every switch. Second, you can see what is happening: which channel is on, how much power it is drawing, and which fuse has blown. This saves time searching behind a panel. And third, you can automate things that are impossible with toggle switches.

Can I install this myself?

The wiring is manageable for anyone handy with marine electronics. Designing and configuring it is professional work: which group on which channel, what current per channel, which pages on your plotter. We prefer to do that part with you, even if you install the rest yourself.

Does it also work on my existing installation?

Usually yes, but it requires a plan. Digital switching replaces your fuse panel; you will be reorganizing your groups. Send us a photo of your current panel and a list of what you want to be able to control, and we will tell you what is needed and whether it is worth it.
